## Audience

This page is for operators and implementers moving from development validation, light mode, or early deployments toward a fuller platform baseline.

## Goal and Scope

This page explains what to verify during upgrades, especially around state, dependencies, and runtime boundaries.

## Upgrade Priorities

* move from binary bootstrap toward K3s formal runtime
* expand from light mode to fuller dependencies and governance
* verify that approvals, audit, and task state are externalized

## Recommended Workflow

1. inventory the current environment mode and state externalization
2. back up PostgreSQL and critical object-storage state
3. upgrade control-plane and dependency components
4. validate logging, audit, approval, and task flows
